High School Open House
Parents.....This is a reminder that Anthony Wayne High School Open House will be taking place Wednesday, August 24th from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Taking into account your busy schedules, we will be providing an open format, allowing you to attend anytime between 7:00pm and 8:30pm to meet your student's teachers, counselors, and administration.
As we transition back to school, it is important to know your child’s bus number and the time he or she will be picked up and dropped off by the bus. All bus routes were updated today, August 16. The bus routes are available in each school building in the District. All primary buildings have them posted on an entrance to the building so they may be viewed during or after office hours. The middle school, junior high, and high school have all routes available in their offices.
If you are not able to go to the school to view the routes, you may contact the office of the building that your child attends. The building’s office staff will be able to share with you your child’s bus number and the approximate time that he or she will be picked up and dropped off.
If your child is not on a list, please call the Anthony Wayne Transportation Department at 419-877-0451 and they will gladly assist you. It is hard to determine exact times so as we begin this year, please know that exact times are difficult and busses may arrive a little early or a little late. Again, do not hesitate to contact your child’s school or the Transportation Department with questions and concerns.

Anthony Wayne Takes First Step in Placing a Bond Issue on the Fall 2016 Ballot?
On June 29th, the Anthony Wayne Board of Education took the first steps to place a bond issue on the November 2016 ballot to improve the safety and security of each building, to replace the current 84 year old Whitehouse Primary with a new building, to improve classroom and service capacity in each of the buildings, to improve general maintenance items and integrate additional energy efficiency in various buildings (electrical, heating, lighting, roofing, etc.), and improve the traffic capacity and flow at each of our six school buildings. The total cost of the project would be approximately $44.2 million dollars. If passed, the approximate 2.38 mill bond issue would cost the owner of a $100,000 home approximately $6.93 per month.
Facility Master Planning
The Anthony Wayne Local Schools hired SSOE and Stantec to develop a facilities master plan for the District. As a part of this process, they held meetings with the community to gather input on this plan. The following link will take you to a website where we would like to continue to share information as we proceed through the planning process.
