Monclova Area Parents (MAPS)

What is MAPS?

Monclova Area Parents (MAPS) is recognized as a 501 (c)(3) organization that is responsible for the fundraising needed to fund various field trips, assemblies, and purchase school related items the teachers and staff may need.

MAPS coordinates these various events during the year for the students and their families. MAPS volunteers coordinate and sponsor many wonderful events and activities for the students and their families. Examples of the events include: Book Fair, Movie Nights, Secret Santa, Donuts for Dads, Mornings with Mom, Family Fun Night, Father/Daughter Dance, and Last Day Blast.   Notice of Intent for Fundraising Activities (‘Golden Ticket’) – If you are a MAPS chairperson participating in a school fundraiser, collecting/managing cash or check payments, please complete this form and return to your designated MAPS Officer.

Current MAPS bylaws state that “to be eligible to be a candidate for the office, one must have previously served as a committee chairperson and have attended at least three MAPS meetings prior to election. The only exception to this is if no other candidate can be found for a vacant position.”

2021-2022 MAPS Meetings:
 

**August 24 Apps with MAPS. 6:30-8pm, located in the Monclova Primary Community Room


The following MAPS meetings will be located at Monclova Primary Media Center from 7PM-8PM. We will also offer a virtual option for those that cannot attend in-person. Babysitting will not be an option at the in-person meetings.

We would appreciate having this form completed prior to the start of the fundraising project. Complete this form and return to a MAPS Officer, if you are participating in any school related fundraisers.

Feedback/Questions

We want to hear from you! Please The MAPS Executive Board of Officers encourages an open-door policy with Monclova families regarding suggestions and feedback for meetings, events, and fundraisers. The purpose of this form is to provide an avenue of permanent, written communication to the entire MAPS Board so that suggestions or feedback can be reviewed, referenced, or addressed in a clear and timely manner. If requested, a Board member will respond to each form submitted. The input of the entire MAPS community is valued and should be heard.
